The requirements for the AVI50519 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating) is a National Training Accredited Course which aligns with the CASA regulatory requirements for the issue of a Multi-Engine Instrument Rating. A flight test for the rating will be conducted on completion of the qualification. The duration of the course varies according to the student’s previous experience: for the holder of a CPL it is 16 weeks. The diploma course is conducted at Bunbury Flying School on a full time basis face to face.
Our fully integrated flying school enables students to learn theory and complete regular flight training. We offer 1 on 1 Flight Instructor teaching, briefing and support, providing students with a consistent learning environment.
The local airspace in the Bunbury is ideal for beginner flight training, whilst the higher density environment of Perth is conveniently located for the advanced stages. Bunbury Airport offers short taxi times and no landing fees resulting in quicker takes offs and reducing any additional fees incurred.
Entry Requirements
Valid Commercial Pilot Licence issued by CASA
Valid Class 1 Aviation Medical
Pilot-in-Command (PIC) VFR navigation aeronautical experience: 50 hours
